Todd K. Ballenger - CEO
Todd has 19 years experience in the financial services industry as a licensed securities, insurance, real estate, and mortgage lending professional. Todd founded three companies; Capital Savings Co, Inc., Advantage Capital Mortgage, USA, and PlanMax Financial. These three companies closed over $2 billion dollars in residential and commercial loans before being rolled into a Nasdaq IPO in 1999. Todd is considered an industry pioneer in the area of capital market and credit market convergence, and has published courses on lending and equity management currently approved for Realtors, Appraisers, Builders and Lenders in over 42 states. Todd was a two-time Inc. 500 winner, a three time KPMG Fast 50 winner, and the 1998 NC Mortgage Lender of the year. Todd was awarded the 2003 '40 Under 40' award by the Triangle Business Journal in NC as one of the top 40 young leaders. Todd has a business degree from the University of North Carolina. He is the author of Borrow Smart Retire Rich.

Lawrence A. Herst - COO
Larry's career has spanned 23 years in the financial services industry as a regulatory attorney, business executive and entrepreneur. Prior to KendallTodd he was Founder/CEO of FlowBanking, an automated marketing solution provider for commercial banks developing their online banking channel. During the 10 years prior to this start-up he was Senior Managing Director and General Counsel of a prominent Chicago-based brokerage firm where he directed operations providing significant input into strategic planning and marketing as well as the use of the Internet for new business development and customer relationship management. He also led the sales force achieving record results for the firm during his tenure. During 10 years in financial services law, Larry was a partner in a 100-lawyer Chicago firm advising clients in product development and marketing as well as a full spectrum of regulatory issues. He served on the boards of two national bank subsidiaries and as counsel to several broker-dealers assisting a NYSE member firm in the building of a network of 300 bank-brokerage outlets. Larry holds a BA (cum laude), as well as an MBA and a JD. He has published articles on financial institutions offering non-traditional products and services in the American Banker, the Journal of Commerce and Bank Administration Magazine.
Tom Griffith - Global Learning Director

Prior to joining KendallTodd, Tom’s sales career spanned 29 years as a successful producer, manager and trainer. In the financial services industry the last 9 years, he has focused on teaching liability management strategies to individuals, real estate professionals and financial institutions. Today, Tom is a captivating speaker, powerful motivator and a unique provider of practical financial education.
As an entrepreneur, Tom has founded several companies. The two most prominent include The Lending Team, Inc., a successful mortgage lending company, and the Practical Wealth Community, a state of the art company in the field of financial education.
Currently, Tom conducts presentations in many formats including live radio, web broadcast, large workshop and small group environments.

Tad Richard - CTO
CTO
Tad Richard is an expert in the field of web application interface and database development and specializes in cross-departmental communications and process simplification. With over 20 years of Business Management and IT experience, Tad has overseen the development of Internet-based and Internet-enabled application systems for The Mortgage Bankers Association, Raytheon, Nortel Networks, PC Connection, The Carolina Hurricanes NHL Hockey Club, among others.
Tad holds a degree in Computer Science from Dartmouth College. He has previously served as Vice President of Intellicisions Data, Inc.; Director of Internet Technologies for VisionFactory.
Linda Raymond - Mentor Concierge
Linda was an educator at a private school in Chapel Hill, NC for eight years before joining the KendallTodd Team. Her diverse experience before that includes managing a medical practice as well as administering financial services in the automotive industry. Channeling her creative side, she makes and sells a unique line of jewelry through a boutique consignment shop in Chapel Hill. Linda also volunteers as a social committee event coordinator for a community group.
Originally from Long Island, Linda has been in North Carolina for over 18 years. She and her husband, Ed have three teenage boys. She is a passionate educator in all aspects of her life—her career, her community service, and her parenting.
Angie Bloomfield - Customer Support - Event Management
Angie has recently joined the KendallTodd team and recently relocated to the Charlotte, NC area. She has 12 years experience in the Film and Television Industry as a Production Manager with some of America’s top Advertising Production Companies. During the past 6 years, she has been active in scholarship fundraising for the Buckley School in Sherman Oaks and helped raise over a million dollars. Angie graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Albert H. Segars, Ph.D.
Dr. Segars is Professor and Chair, Information and Technology Management, Director, Center for Technology and Advanced Commerce and Sarah Graham Kenan Distinguished Scholar at the Kenan – Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. His areas of expertise include: Electronic Commerce, Technology Management, Knowledge Management and Technology Venturing and Commercialization. Dr. Segars serves as a consultant to Microsoft, AT&T, Mortgage Bankers Association, and Nortel Networks among others. He serves on the editorial boards of MIS Quarterly, The International Journal of Electronic Commerce, The Database for Advances in Information Systems Research and Information Systems Research. He is an IBM Research Fellow. In addition to his active role teaching at Kenan – Flagler, Dr. Segars lectures at universities, institutions and corporations globally. He also publishes extensively in periodicals ranging from The Financial Times Review to the Journal of Management Studies.White Paper
M. Holland West
M. Holland West is a Partner and Co-Head of the Global Securitization & Derivatives Group in the New York City office of the international law firm of Shearman & Sterling.
Mr. West specializes in derivative, structured product, securitization, capital market, and commodities matters. Mr. West is named one of the World’s Leading Derivatives Lawyers by Chambers & Partners Ltd. Mr. West also specializes in diverse investment management matters, including the representation of U.S. and non-U.S. investment advisory firms and investment funds. Mr. West is named in An International Who’s Who of Private Funds Lawyers by Law Business Research. Mr. West is a frequent lecturer and author in respect of financial product and investment management matters, and serves on the board of editors of industry journals and periodicals. Mr. West’s professional activities include membership in numerous bar and industry associations. He also serveson the Advisory Board of the Duke University Global Capital Markets Center (Advisory Board).
Mr. West received his Juris Doctor Degree with honors in 1980 from Fordham University School of Law, where he was Associate Editor of the Fordham Law Review. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature with honors in 1975 from the University of the South at Sewanee.
Bo Batchelder
Bo is Founder and CEO of Batchelder & Associates, a company providing business planning, management, and marketing experience to emerging companies. Bo has been a Taco Bell Franchisee since 1988, and has developed multiple fast food franchises, restaurant properties, and ventures, including a new coffee concept, "Beans!", featuring cafes and drive-thru kiosks.
Bo is Chairman of Heaven Word, Inc. a software company focusing on bible related software, and President and Founder of Real American Heroes, Inc. a non-profit corporation working to raise funds to provide bullet-resistant vests for law enforcement officers nationally. He was a former SVP of mortgage.com, and a former director of CSC Holdings, LLC. In Bo's earlier career, he was EVP of Hardee's Food Systems, Inc. where he directed marketing, advertising, and research nationally.
James Moore, Ph.D.
After holding a series of university research and faculty positions, Dr. Moore co-founded Trans Data Corporation, a financial services research and database firm. Following the acquisition of Trans Data by International Thomson in 1985, Dr. Moore continued as the firm's President/CEO until founding Mentis Corporation in 1989. Widely recognized as a leading IT research firm specializing in the financial services industry, Dr. Moore managed Mentis until its acquisition by GartnerGroup in 1998. For the next two years, Dr. Moore served as Vice President and Research Director of Gartner's worldwide financial services practice until founding his third company, Talson Associates. In addition to managing Talson Associates, Dr. Moore is Executive Director of the Global Future Forum in North America and serves as senior Research Fellow at the Bank Administration Institute. Dr. Moore's expertise covers Internet-based e-business, multichannel delivery systems, CRM, payment systems, imaging technology, and network communications. He also has considerable experience in strategic planning, market analysis, and product development. As a frequent speaker and author, Dr. Moore serves on the editorial advisory board of Bank Technology News and on selected committees for the Federal Reserve Board. He is also a lecturer at the BAI graduate schools of banking at Vanderbilt and the University of Wisconsin.
Ken Flynt
Ken Flynt was the former President and CEO of Independence Bank. Ken started this bank in 1996 and sold the bank in 2002, prior to that Ken was President and CEO of Equity Services, one of North Carolina's largest private mortgage banks.
Prior to Equity Services, Ken was President of Enterprise Bank and also CEO of Workmen's Federal Savings Bank, two banks he started from scratch and sold to larger banks. Prior to his entrepreneurial career in banking, Ken was a Vice President of Crestar Bank in Virginia.
From 1977 to 1980 Ken served as the Chief Economic Advisor to the Governor of North Carolina. His initial career started as Assistant Vice President of Bank of America, working with Hugh McColl during the rapid growth of North Carolina National Bank into what is now Bank of America.
Scott A. Slifer
Scott A. Slifer is the Vice President of Sales for ABN AMRO's mortgage lending channel in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Scott is responsible for market growth, business development, profit and loss management, marketing strategy and overall delivery of customer service.
Prior to joining ABN AMRO in 2001, he was the President and Chief Operating Officer of BuildNet Financial Services, a leading technology and financial services provider to the construction community. Scott has over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 11 years in housing finance and technology.
Scott was the Director of Sales and Marketing for Freddie Mac in Atlanta, GA from 1996 to 2000. Scott led Freddie Mac's customer management and business development efforts and was responsible for production, sales and marketing strategy and technology implementation in a 22-state region. Before that, Scott worked as the Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development for GE Capital Mortgage Insurance in Raleigh NC. While there, he directed sales and marketing efforts for all mortgage insurance-related products and services. He also led business expansion efforts into Europe, Canada, Australia and Mexico via acquisitions and new business start-ups.
